Hello everyone. I'm Dhiraj and since this is my first attempt at blogging, I request you all to go easy on me.
Since this is the first time i am even blogging, i wanted to start off on a positive note. So, at the age of 17-20 is when most of us get to realise what we want to become but due to lack of focus and will power, we tend to go in, umm, let's say the wrong direction. So now, I'd like to list out to you what the major obstacles that we as teenagers come across and a little bit of how to handle it. So what really are the problems that come across our way? I personally feel that the first drawback to any teenager is the number of and the quality of friends he/she has. During your teenage years, people around you might judge you based on the number of friends you have. But to be honest, a person who can put all that aside and see beyond all those petty issues is the one who can be successful tomorrow. According to me, acquaintances who come into your life as your best friends are the sole reason for the downfall of a human being. Because, habits like drinking and smoking can be acquired only from them. Now, all the blame is not to be put on others. We, just are not mature enough to realize all that and we cannot be blamed. But trust me when I tell you this. " SMOKING WILL KILL YOU. AND SO DOES DRINKING." When a person sets his mind on something and when he/she does not relax till that particular goal is acheived, only then can a person see half of success' face. Another reason for any of your desires not to be fulfilled is the unstability of your mind. All of us, as teenagers have a really unstable mind and any big person will have to have a stable mind before doing anything. As teenagers we face a huge amount of tension and stress. Till we finish our 10th Grade, I remember my parents telling me that I will get the CS group only if i get a GPA of 9. But, I ended up getting a GPA of 7.8 and still found myself sitting in the CS group as i wanted. Then came 11th, 11th Grade is the Grade where everyone around us will tell us this, "11th is the foundation of 12th. If you dont study 11th, then you wont do your 12th Board exams properly." Well, nothing of that sort . I had just passed my 11th final exam and I had gotten 90% in my 12th. And then comes the real pressure. Until 12th, all of us were there in our school, happily, surrounded by friends, sweet teachers and an arrogant marker. But only when we step into college do we know the real challenges and pressures of life. You have no clue of the outside world when you are suddenly pushed into it. I would like to narrate to you all the story of how an eagle teaches its babies to fly. As you all know, eagles have the capability to fly very high. Hence, they build their nests are great heights. As soon as the babies are out of their eggs, the mother eagle makes sure that the babies are very comfortable inside their nests. This happens for about a month or two. When the baby eagle is old enough to fly, the mother eagle just pushes the baby out of its comfort zone into the vast sky. The baby flaps it's wings in despair not knowing what to do. The mother eagle takes hold of the baby before it hits the ground. And in one week's time, eagle's learn to fly. In a similar manner we, teenagers are pushed into college where the surrounding is even worse. So once a boy/girl from his/her school is admitted in college. This is the stage where most of the people start feeling lonely and thus they want to make friends in a hurry. This hurry causes a lot of havoc for them.
